On Saturday, September 26th, Opus Consulting Group stepped out of the office to tackle a new obstacle- completing the Great Northeast Tough Mudder at Sunset Ridge in Westbrook, ME.
Represented by Jacques, Andrew, Aaron, Alan, and Connor, along with three colleagues, Opus navigated their way through the 10.1 mile course. The group stepped up to the starting line, thought, “why did we commit to this?” then translated the fear into enthusiasm. Inevitably there were some elements of the course that seemed too grueling to be reality, but luckily for them, they had quite a resilient team. Beyond pulling their own weight, Opus was an event staple atop challenging obstacles, helping other participants throughout the course.
So was the Tough Mudder worth it? Without a doubt. Who would ever voluntarily commit to a race billed as “Iron Man meets Burning Man”? The extreme athletes, the thrill seekers, and the Opus team that wants bragging rights on their unparalleled team camaraderie.
