Analyst
As an Analyst at Opus Consulting, Burr Rhoads supports clients across a range of activities. From a growth strategy standpoint, he analyzes market research and provides financial modeling to evaluate business unit performance, identify growth opportunities, and inform strategic planning. He contributes to pricing strategies, customer segmentations, and competitive benchmarking. He also designs KPIs and survey tools to track market engagement and evaluates the outcomes of public-private initiatives.
For Opus’ Fractional CFO clients, Burr provides budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning. He assists with accounting system implementations and enjoys streamlining internal processes to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency. He supports the preparation of financial reports and contributes to the creation of critical investor and buyer materials, including scenario modeling and visual summaries.
Burr collaborates with clients to assess operations, monitor financial performance, and explore opportunities for growth or transition. He supports regulatory and licensing readiness as well as builds budget frameworks, dashboards and other internal SOPs to improve tracking, accountability and improved decision-making.
For Opus’ Receivership clients, he assists with forensic accounting, fixed asset & inventory audits across multi-entity structures. He helps build out 13-week cash-flow models to support ongoing operations and contributes to business unit assessments by mapping operations, financials, and market value for use in strategic recovery planning.
Burr earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Project Management with a concentration in Business Analysis from The Roux Institute of Northeastern University, where he founded and coordinated ASCEND, a student consulting group designed to connect students with startups from the Institute’s various incubators. Burr also graduated with a BA in Studio Art with a concentration in Sculpture and a Minor in Economics from Colby College.
