Before joining Opus Consulting, August was a Senior Associate at Hamilton Lane, a global private markets investment firm. There, he integrated sustainability into investment due diligence, monitoring, and regulatory reporting. Additionally, he supported corporate operational initiatives and helped institutional investors evaluate private equity and private credit portfolios.

Earlier in his career, he gained experience in mutual and hedge fund administration and worked in the renewable energy sector. In that role, he helped a growth-stage startup scale sales and financing operations, strengthening both processes and profitability.

August’s career bridges investment-focused and operational environments. As a result, he understands the balance between strategy, execution, and stakeholder alignment. He has collaborated with large institutional investors and consistently delivers clear, data-backed insights in complex, highly regulated settings.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Environmental Studies from Saint Michael’s College, graduating magna cum laude. Currently, he is progressing toward the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and holds certifications in ESG in Alternative Investments (UNPRI) and as a LEED Green Associate (US Green Building Council).

Passionate about environmental responsibility, August has led park and waterway cleanup initiatives. Beyond that, he remains committed to advancing sustainability in both his professional and personal life.
