Opus Consulting Group was recently a sponsor of Startup Maine 2018. Startup Maine took place at the Maine College of Art in Portland from June 21-23. The three exciting days of events featured a variety of workshops, case studies, and networking events to highlight and help Maine startups with the tools and networks they need for success. Opus’ Caitlin Noel was interviewed in News Center Maine’s profile of Startup Maine 2018.
The event kicked off on the evening of June 21st with a keynote from Ben Shaw of Vets First Choice (pictured left), as part of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Kegs and Issues event. Dr. Patti Fletcher, a noted angel investor, marketing professional, and business executive addressed the crowd for the closing keynote, focusing on gender equity, innovation through inclusion, and driving progress through people. Dr. Fletcher is the author of “Disrupters“, a must-read on women who are changing the world in new and important ways.
Opus was proud to sponsor the event, providing volunteers and accounting support. Opus President Jacques Santucci was on hand for the evening of June 22nd to serve as a judge for a hilarious evening of “Battledecks” at Think Tank on Congress Street. On the more serious side of the event, Opus Director of Consulting Andrew Wood serves on Startup Maine’s Board of Directors, working throughout the year on this event that has become a must-attend for the Maine business community.
