The Honorable Frank J. Bailey, a retired United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Massachusetts, held his position from 2009 to 2022, with a stint as Chief Judge from 2010 to 2014. He earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his JD from Suffolk University. Prior to his judicial career, he worked as an attorney in various law firms, representing clients in financial services, medical device, pharmaceutical, and technology industries. Judge Bailey was a prominent figure in the legal community, serving as President of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and participating in leadership roles in the American Bar Association. He also testified before Congress on issues concerning the federal judiciary. Beyond his legal work, Judge Bailey was involved in various charitable organizations and served on the adjunct faculty at several law schools. He taught Advanced Business Restructuring at Suffolk University School of Law and contributed to international judicial training and legal education in several countries.
