Maine’s Own Organic Milk Company (MOO Milk) is a collective of 12 family owned, Maine farms that joined forces after being dropped by their national milk company. MOO has made huge advances since its rocky beginnings in 2009, with Hannaford, Shaw’s, Shurfine, Whole Foods and IGA stores throughout New England now showcasing their delicious, organic product.
Sales have increased every month for the past year and a half with profits staying in Maine and supporting a network of other family owned businesses. Funded by socially responsible investors, MOO is a model for how small food producers can come together under a single brand and sell throughout New England. MOO Milk is featured in a documentary called “Betting the Farm” and has generated over 4,500 fans on Facebook and Twitter.
We are reaching out to all Milk lovers, organic food supporters, socially conscious and local business oriented individuals that want to know more about or invest in this local venture. Please get in touch with us at Opus Consulting Group to learn more about supporting our friends at MOO Milk.
